Getting Started

Whether you are a veteran collector or a first-time administrator, welcome! You have arrived at the official documentation and digital manual for Stack, a specialized Content Management System (CMS) designed specifically for the niche world of online Trading Card Games (TCGs).

This documentation serves as your comprehensive guide to deploying, managing, and scaling your virtual TCG. Please note that as the software evolves, so does this manual; it is a living document and a continual work in progress. If some sections appear brief, rest assured that more detailed tutorials and technical breakdowns are regularly being integrated.

What is Stack CMS? #

Bridging the Technical Gap #

Traditional TCG scripts often require extensive knowledge of PHP or manual database manipulation. Stack was designed to democratize TCG ownership:

  • Automation-First Design: The script comes pre-loaded with the standard automated games (such as “Trade or No Trade” or “Memory”) and essential pages (Member Profiles, Mastery Lists, and Logs) that a site owner needs to launch immediately.

  • The “No-Code” Philosophy: It is the ideal solution for non-technical owners. You can manage your entire game through a visual interface rather than digging through lines of code.

  • In-Browser Management: A defining feature of Stack is its independence from external software. There is a 90% chance you will never need an FTP client (like FileZilla) to edit your files. Most updates and content creations can be handled directly through the internal dashboard.

Terms of Use & Licensing #

Stack CMS is provided as a free-to-use and customizable tool for the gaming community. To keep the project sustainable and ensure credit is given where it’s due, we ask all users to adhere to the following community standards:

  • Attribution: The README.md and internal developer notes must remain intact. Additionally, a visible link-back to https://stackcms.dev/ is required on all live installations.

  • Modification: You are encouraged to modify the script to fit your TCG’s unique theme, but these modifications do not grant ownership over the core script.

Usage Restrictions & Liability #

To protect the integrity of the project, please be aware of the following legal boundaries:

  1. Non-Commercial Distribution: Users are strictly prohibited from selling the script, distributing it under a different name, or offering paid installation services without explicit, written permission from the creator.

  2. “As-Is” Warranty: While we strive for a bug-free experience, Stack is provided “as-is.” We cannot guarantee it will be free from every error or that it will solve pre-existing server-side issues.

  3. Liability: By using this script, you agree to hold the developer blameless for any issues—direct or indirect—that may arise from the installation or use of the software.

Note: These terms may be updated as Stack CMS grows. Continued use of the script constitutes agreement to the most current version of these terms.
